All leather needs conditioning from time to time. I recommend conditioning and water proofing twice a year. In Early Spring and again in the Fall
is a good time to maintain the condition of your leather products. Use a light coat of conditioner on the outside of the article. I do this with my hands and gently rub conditioner into the leather.
After conditioning, I apply one or two thin coats of water proofing. For maximum penetration, I use a hand held hair dryer to gently warm the leather after each application of conditioner and water
proofing. Be sure to keep hair dryer moving at all times so as to not burn the leather. High heat and long periods of direct exposure to sun light are harmful to leather. To clean leather if needed, I
use luke warm water and a mild soap such as Murphy's Oil Soap. A small amount of the soap in water, using a soft cloth or sponge, gently wash away dirt and grime. Always allow wet leather to completely air
dry before conditioning or water proofing.
I hope you find these tips useful in maintaining the condition of your leather products.
